## Per NPC Sprite Count
**Minimum (Static):**
- 4 directions (N, S, E, W) = **4 sprites**
**Basic (Idle + Walk):**
- 4 directions × 1 idle = 4 sprites
- 4 directions × 4 walk frames = 16 sprites
- **Total: 20 sprites per NPC**
**Full Animation (Advanced):**
- Idle: 4 directions = 4 sprites
- Walk: 4 directions × 4 frames = 16 sprites
- Talk animation: 4 directions × 2 frames = 8 sprites
- **Total: 28 sprites per NPC**
