🏚️ STATION RESTORATION MECHANIC:

Station Condition States:

1. RUINED (Starting State):

- Platform collapsed
- Station building burned/destroyed
- Tracks overgrown with weeds
- Zombies sleeping in old carriages
- No NPCs
- NO FUNCTIONALITY

2. CLEARED (After zombie cleanup):

✅ Kill all zombies in station area
✅ Clear debris from platform
- Still non-functional
- NPCs won't return yet

3. REPAIRED (After restoration):

✅ Rebuild station building (wood, stone, iron)
✅ Repair platform
✅ Install signal lights
✅ Clean tracks (remove weeds)
✅ NPCs move in! (Station Master, Ticket Clerk, etc.)
✅ FUNCTIONAL - Trains can stop here!

🔧 RESTORATION REQUIREMENTS:

Per Station (Average):

Materials Needed:

• Wood: 500 units
• Stone: 300 units
• Iron: 150 units
• Glass: 50 units (windows)
• Concrete: 100 units (platform)

Labor:

• Zombie Workers: 10 workers × 3 days = Station repaired
• OR Manual: Player rebuilds (5 hours real-time gameplay)

Cost:

• Gold: 5,000 per station
• Total for all 27: 135,000 gold (endgame investment!)

🚂 TRAIN SYSTEM:

TRAINS ARE BROKEN - MUST REPAIR!

Train Types (5 total across network):

1. Steam Locomotive 🚂

   • Old-school, coal-powered
   • Slowest (60 km/h)
   • Most common
   • Repair: 10,000 gold, 500 iron, 200 coal

2. Diesel Train 🚃

   • Modern, fuel-powered
   • Medium speed (100 km/h)
   • Repair: 15,000 gold, 300 steel, 500L diesel

3. Electric Train ⚡

   • High-speed, requires power grid
   • Fast (140 km/h)
   • Repair: 25,000 gold, 200 copper, 100 circuit boards
   • Extra: Restore power lines to stations!

4. Cargo Train 📦

   • Heavy freight hauler
   • Carries goods between towns
   • Repair: 20,000 gold, 800 iron, 400 steel

5. Luxury Express 🌟

   • Pre-apocalypse VIP train
   • Ultra-fast (180 km/h!)
   • Rare, only 1 in game
   • Repair: 50,000 gold, 500 mythril, 100 dragon scales!

🛠️ TRAIN REPAIR PROCESS:

Finding Trains:

[Explore stations]
[Find abandoned train on tracks - rusted, broken]

PLAYER: "A train! If I can repair this, I can travel fast!"

[Inspect Train]
DAMAGE REPORT:
- Engine: BROKEN (needs new pistons)
- Wheels: RUSTED (need lubrication oil)
- Boiler: CRACKED (needs welding)
- Coal Tender: EMPTY (need coal supply)
- Brake System: FAILED (needs hydraulic fluid)

REPAIR COST: 10,000 gold + materials
TIME: 2 in-game days (with zombie workers)

Repair Steps:

1. Gather Materials (iron, steel, coal, oil, etc.)
2. Hire Mechanic NPC (if station restored) OR use zombie workers
3. Wait 2 days (or speed up with fast-forward)
4. Train OPERATIONAL! ✅

🚉 STATION BUILDING TYPES:

Each Station Has (After Restoration):

Main Station Building:

• Ticket Office - Buy train tickets (fast travel!)
• Station Master Office - Quest giver NPC
• Waiting Room - Rest, save game
• Restaurant - Buy food, meet NPCs
• Luggage Storage - Extra inventory space!

Platform Buildings:

• Signal Tower - Control train schedule
• Maintenance Shed - Repair trains here
• Cargo Warehouse - Store/trade goods
• Passenger Shelter - Weather protection

NPCs (3-5 per station):

1. Station Master - Manages station, gives quests
2. Ticket Clerk - Sells tickets, fast travel
3. Train Mechanic - Repairs trains (for fee)
4. Platform Guard - Security, zombie defense
5. Vendor - Sells snacks, newspapers, souvenirs

🎫 FAST TRAVEL SYSTEM:

How It Works:

1. Buy Ticket:

DESTINATIONS:
- Ljubljana Central (200 gold, 10 min)
- Maribor Station (150 gold, 8 min)
- Bled Station (100 gold, 5 min)

[Cutscene: Board train, scenic travel montage]
[Arrive at destination!]

2. Automatic Travel:

- Player boards train
- Screen fades to scenic Slovenia landscapes
- Relaxing train sounds (clickety-clack)
- Time passes (10 real seconds = 5 in-game minutes)
- Arrive refreshed! (+10 HP, +20 Stamina)

3. Random Events (Small Chance):

[10% chance during travel]

EVENT: ZOMBIE AMBUSH!
- Zombies on tracks!
- Train stops suddenly
- Fight zombies (3-5 enemies)
- Clear tracks, continue journey
- BONUS: Extra XP + loot!

🚛 CARGO SYSTEM:

Trade Between Towns via Train:

How It Works:

CARGO CLERK: "Shipping goods to another town?"

[Load items onto train]
- Max: 1,000 kg per trip
- Fee: 50 gold per 100 kg

[Select destination]
[24 in-game hours later = goods arrive!]

[Sell goods at destination for profit!]
Example:
- Buy wheat in Maribor (cheap farming town)
- Ship to Ljubljana (expensive capital)
- Sell for 2× profit!

Early Game (Act 1):

Mid Game (Act 2):

• Restore 10-15 stations
• Repair diesel + electric trains
• Cargo trading becomes profitable!
• Railway quests unlock!

Late Game (Act 3-4):

• Restore all 27 stations
• Repair luxury express train
• Full railway network operational!
• Slovenia connected again!
