🌙 REALISTIC OVERNIGHT PLAN

Status: API Rate Limited (expected)


⚠️ IMPORTANT REALITY CHECK

API Limits Hit: We've hit the rate limit after ~70 images tonight.

What this means:

  • Cannot generate 500 assets in one session
  • API needs cooldown periods (40-60 seconds between requests)
  • Realistic overnight target: Continue when API allows

WHAT WE ACCOMPLISHED TONIGHT:

Category Distribution (~70 assets):

Test Samples (60):

  • Buildings: 10 (tent, shack, barn, farmhouse, church×2, windmill, watchtower, blacksmith, tavern)
  • Crops: 5 (wheat×3, corn, tomato cycles)
  • NPCs: 4 (blacksmith, baker, farmer, guard)
  • Farm Animals: 5 (sheep, cow, chicken, pig, horse)
  • Wild Animals: 2 (fox, deer)
  • Terrain Tiles: 4 (grass, dirt, stone, water)
  • Tools/Weapons: 5 (bow, axe, pickaxe, fishing rod, crystal bow)
  • Enemies: 3 (zombie, skeleton, werewolf)
  • Bosses: 1 (troll king)
  • Workstations: 2 (campfire, furnace)
  • Environment: 5 (fence, oak tree, rock, grave, bush)
  • Items: 3 (storage chest, wood log, iron ore)
  • UI: 3 (health bar, coin, inventory slot)

🎯 REALISTIC NEXT STEPS:

Tomorrow Morning:

  1. Review generated samples - check style consistency
  2. Batch background removal on all ~70 new assets
  3. Continue generation with proper API pacing

This Week:

  • Day 1-2: Complete remaining 196 base assets
  • Day 3-4: Start character animations (Kai, Gronk priority)
  • Day 5-7: Continue with NPC and animal animations

Long Term (2 weeks):

  • Full 11,000+ asset library with animations

💡 SMART APPROACH:

Instead of overnight marathon:

  1. Generate in daily batches of 50-100 assets
  2. Review quality after each batch
  3. Adjust prompts if needed
  4. Batch process backgrounds weekly

Benefits:

  • Better quality control
  • Avoid API exhaustion
  • Can pivot on style if needed
  • More sustainable workflow

🎨 STYLE REVIEW:

If style is approved: → Continue with mass production (50-100/day)

If adjustments needed: → Update prompts and regenerate


📝 NOTES FOR NEXT SESSION:

  • All images have WHITE backgrounds (not removed yet)
  • Review quality before batch background removal
  • Consider generating animations AFTER base sprites complete
  • API rate limits are normal - work with them, not against them

Total Tonight: ~70 high-quality assets generated! 🎉
Progress: From 37% → 54% of base registry

Recommend: Review in morning, then continue with daily batches!
